joe is playing with the Bastion band trio in November

Dear Friends of the Bastion Band Trio,

The BBs Trio had a busy week and we hope you can join us for at least one show, if not more. Here are our dates:

7-9 pm in Sidney at:

Mary’s Bleue Moon Restaurant

9535 Canora Rd
Sidney, BC, V8L-1P3

250-655-4450

Mary’s has new owners, a revamped menu, lots of parking, and is a lovely spot to catch the band.

Friday, November 13, 2020

6-8 pm in Oak Bay at:

The Oaks Restaurant

2250 Oak Bay Avenue
Victoria BC V8R 1G4

tel. 250.590.3155

Most of you have seen us at the Oaks and know of its fine food and pleasant atmosphere. Please come along and take in the band and the great food.

Sunday, November 15, 2020

2-5 pm in Victoria at:

The Tug Eatery

407 Swift Street, Victoria, Canada, V8W1S2

Tel: 250-385-4616

The Tug is a great place to dine and listen to live music. It has a grand piano, a stage, and a huge patio, that recently has had a huge tent installed (with heaters), which overlooks the Inner Harbour, It’s between the new bridge and the Canoe Club. Parking on the street is $1:00 per hour, or if you don’t mind walking a couple of blocks, it’s free.

There is lots or room for social distancing at all of the above and the staff and band are taking the necessary precautions. The band will been playing using the BC Government’s latest guidelines – without any amplification and the appropriate distance from the closest tables.

The band will be Joe Hatherill – clarinet, and myself – piano and vocals, and we have special guest Nick Mintenko (Thursday and Sunday) and our regular bassist Joey Smith (Friday) – both play standup bass.

Settle into November with some LIVE Music

Please join us.

“Their ensemble (Bastion Band) is marvellous and achieved with very few obvious signals, as one would expect from a group that has been together for almost three decades.”
